History

Analysis :

Jacques Decret (President of the Association of « Petits Princes coupe des nations ») announced his departure during the 20th awards ceremony on August 3rd, 2007. This association to whom  Annecy Tennis offered its facilities during 15 days in peak season was a magnificent sporting event but independant of the club and not really involved in the local events. The disappearance of the tournament, one day, rsked the loss of the date in the international calendar.

Presentation :

Annecy Tennis decided to pick up the challenge and assume the responsibility for this sporting eventin order that a major international tournament for 13 and under continue to welcome to our clay courts of  "Marquisats" other young champions such as  Amélie Mauresmo or Roger Federer who in the past fought on these courts. Thus the « Roland Garros of the 13 & under » will be continued at the same site where it began.

We were encouraged by the city of Annecy and the FFT in the person of its  DTN. In fact, Patrice Dominguez wishes to promote the French competition of international level on clay courts.

In order to relaunch this competition at the highest level, a national circuit  harmonizing les Petits Princes du lac d’Annecy with the international  tournament Balle mimosa Loire atlantique was created. A third tournament might be added to this  circuit in the future.
